The mattress features a 2-1/2-inch pillow top of layered 20 Denier foam for extra softness. Beneath the pillow top layer, 1000 pocketed coils adjust to support the user’s particular body needs for a sound night’s sleep. The 15-gauge tempered steel coils additionally help minimize the motion disturbance caused by tossing and turning. To prevent sagging along the edges, a border wire runs around the perimeter for the mattress underneath the pillow top. Special coils reinforce the four corners. Antimicrobial fibers in the material assist in alleviating allergies while the Damask quilted covering on the mattress assists in air flow for a cooler sleep. With its no-flip design, the mattress is suitable for use with platform bed frames, or other bed frames with a proper center support. The mattress is compressed and vacuum sealed for shipping. For transporting the mattress upon delivery to its designated room, the mattress’s box benefits from a handle and built-in back wheels. After unpacking, the mattress regains its shape quickly.
